Neil R. Dinndorf, CFP® Wealth Advisor
What do you enjoy most about becoming the Family CFO?
I remember interviewing for my first position in the financial planning profession out of school and my then boss asked why I wanted to be a financial advisor. I replied that outside of the medical profession, it is hard to think of another person who can be so intimately involved in a person’s life and helping them change for the better. I still to this day truly enjoy having that close connection with my clients and help them solve complex issues in a relatively simple fashion.
What do you love most about being a part of EnRich?
I love the team environment and collaborative approach that goes into each client relationship. Each member of our team plays a different role in servicing our clients, with each team member focused on the same goal: provide our clients with robust service to help them reach their financial dreams and goals.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am most proud of completing the Certified Financial Planner requirements in 2007, which allowed me to use the highly regarded mark. More recently, I am proud of leading our local chapter of the Financial Planning Association. As President and Chairman of the 300+ member organization, we collectively helped advance the financial planning profession and made financial planning more accessible in the community.
What qualities of yours make you best suited to what you do?
My personable and easy going personality is a primary characteristic that attracts clients to me. In a fast-paced, complex market where volatility can cause investors to make poor decisions, it pays to partner with someone who can remain level headed and keeps you on course to reach your goals.
How should people think about their wealth?
Money is a terrible master and a powerful servant. Use your money and wealth as a tool to serve you in leading a meaningful life and don’t let it control who you are and the decisions you make.
What do you love to do outside of work?
My primary passion is my family. If I am to be remembered for anything in life, I hope that it will be that I was a good father and husband to my two beautiful children and amazing wife.
In addition to spending time with family, I am an avid runner, golfer, and Badger fan. I also enjoy travelling, relaxing in our pool during the short Wisconsin summer, and working on home improvements.
What would you be doing if you weren’t working with EnRich?
It is hard to imagine life outside of EnRich as the team here is such a perfect fit, but if I had to choose something, it would be owning and working in a travelling food cart with my wife. No, I would not be the one cooking or creating the menu!
